Institute of organic chemistry National academy of sciences of Ukraine

        INTERNATIONAL CONTACTS

The Institute of Organic Chemistry of the NAS of Ukraine is a well known scientific center famous by research in organic and organo-element chemistry. The Institute maintains scientific and friendly relations with many scientific institutions of Europe, USA, China, Japan and NIS countries.
The Institute conducts  joint scientific projects on dyes study in collaboration with the Federal Institute of Materials Exploration (Berlin) and Optics School in the University of Central Florida (USA). Investigations in the field of new materials for laser technique and opto-electronics are conducted in collaboration with Russian scientists (A.M.Frumkin Electrochemistry Institute, RC Khimphotoproekt, Tomsk State University) and with Belarus scientists (Belarus State University, Physics Institute of the Belarus AS).
The Institute collaborates for a long time with the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry   in Bonn, Braunschweig  University, Center of Molecular and Macromolecular Studies of the Polish AS (Lodz) in the field of organo-phosphorus compounds chemistry.
Productive scientific contacts the Institute keeps with the leading scientific centers dealing with fluorine chemistry, they are: Cologne University, Bremen University,   Ruhr University (Germany), Rouen Universtity (France).
Fruitful collaboration in supramolecular chemistry of macrocyclic compounds connects the Institute with Louis Pasteur University (Strasbourg),  Institute of Biology and Chemistry of Proteins CNRS (Lyon), Commissariat of Nuclear Power of France, Parma University, Guttenberg University (Mainz), Institute of Inorganic Chemistry of Czech AS, California University (Berkeley), University of South Florida (Tampa), V.G.Khlopin Radium Institute (St.Petersburg), A.N.Frumkin Institute of Physical Chemistry (Moscow), Institute of Inorganic Chemistry (Novosibirsk) and so on.  This collaboration is directed to the creation of radioactive wastes processing technologies, elaboration of new supramolecular catalysts for asymmetric synthesis, sensory materials, design of biologically active compounds.
The leading scientists of the Institute belong to the Editorial Boards of international and Russian scientific editions: Journal of Fluorine Chemistry (Yu.L.Yagupolskii), Chemistry an Indian Journal, Division of  Organic Chemistry (V.I.Kalchenko), Organic Chemistry Open Journal (V.I.Kalchenko), Journal of Organic Chemistry  (M.O.Lozinskii), Journal of General Chemistry (A.D.Sinitsa).
The scientists of the Institute also form the Organizing Committees of many international conferences in various countries of the world.
The Institute has organized a series of international scientific conferences: International Conference on Phosphorus Chemistry devoted to the 100th anniversary of O.E.Arbuzov (Kuiv, 1977), IV Soviet-Japanese Symposium on Fluorine Chemistry (Kyiv, 1985), International Conference on Phosphorus Chemistry devoted to L.M.Markovskii memory (Kyiv, 1999), International Conference on Phosphorus Chemistry devoted to the 100th anniversary of O.V.Kirsanov (Kyiv, 2002), Ukrainian-Polish-Moldavian Symposium on Supramolecular Chemistry (Kyiv, 2003), 11th International Seminar on Inclusion Compounds (Kyiv, 2007), 5th International Symposium “Supramolecular Systems in Chemistry and Biology” (Kyiv, 2009).
